Hi there. I'm Jeanine
An intuitive, direct, and grounded counselor who helps adults and parents bring more clarity, peace, connection, and confidence to their lives. I'm a licensed counselor in Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina and am also an Approved Clinical Supervisor. I use a combination of traditional talk therapy techniques, mindfulness interventions, and education to help my clients find a safe place to learn, grow, and heal., I have in-depth training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness, and I tend to incorporate these practices in my work. I also spent much of my career utilizing Play Therapy and Child Development in my work with children, parents, and families.
My greatest strengths as a therapist (IMHO):
-
Creating a comfortable environment so you feel safe sharing difficult parts of your life.
-
Helping you recognize and change unhelpful patterns.
-
Teaching you how to set better boundaries so you can nurture the relationships that are important to you.
-
Recognizing inconsistencies in what you say and the choices you make (aka calling you on your bullshit).
-
Bringing in humor and cuss words at just the right time.
-
Acknowledging and allowing feelings you may not recognize or be comfortable experiencing.
-
Educating you about healthy relationships with yourself and others.
-
Helping you better understand family dynamics and work to shift them when they aren't working.
